Rugged Temple Transducer Like the standard Temple Transducer, the Rugged Temple Transducer utilizes bone conduction technology, so users can receive audio without covering the ear. The receiver portion of this accessory rests on the temples. The sound vibration is transmitted through the surrounding human tissue and bone directly into the inner ear where it is received by the user. The Headset includes an adjustable, over- the- head band that fits securely on top of the head decreasing the likelihood that the headset could be knocked off during unexpected or sudden movements. The headset also enables the user to wear a helmet, hat or other head gear comfortably over the headset. The rugged in- line push- to- talk (PTT) button includes a removable ring guard to prevent accidental activation of the PTT button when used in mission- critical situations involving crawling, rolling or climbing.
